Giving Opportunities

Annual Stewardship Pledge Campaign
Flossmoor Community Church’s mission and ministry is funded completely by the generosity of its members and friends.  Each spring, members are asked to prayerfully consider what percentage of their income God would have them give over the coming year (July 1-June 30) in gratitude for God’s goodness.  Beginning in late April, the stewardship season extends for four Sundays concluding in mid-May with Recommitment/Consecration Sunday at which time pledge cards are offered to God in worship.

The annual stewardship season is guided by the Stewardship Committee whose mission is to help church members grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through the development of a generous spirit and the joyful sharing of their God-given treasure.

Special Mission Offerings
The World Communion (October) and the Easter Offerings (springtime) provide additional opportunities for our church family to give in order to alleviate human suffering beyond the walls of our church.  Generally, both local recipient and national/international recipients are selected by the Governing Board for each offering and monies collected are divided equally.

Foundation – Legacy Giving
Members of Flossmoor Community Church are also members of the Flossmoor Community Church Foundation. The Foundation with officers elected by our church membership has been in existence since 1977.

The Church Preservation/Enhancement and Benevolence Fund is an endowment fund dedicated to preserving and enhancing Flossmoor Community Church as a vital facility and institution in the community, recognizing that the church requires certain resources to assure its ability to perform its mission and its ministries. Also, believing that God calls the Church to care for the larger world, the Foundation seeks to enhance the church’s benevolence and outreach.

Looking ahead, the church has goals which require that our physical space be in good working order. While we can pursue our ministry of loving God and loving our neighbors in any setting, our ministry will be far more successful if done in places that make it easier to talk, think, meditate and collaborate on our faith.

The Flossmoor Community Church Foundation offers a unique vehicle for supporting the work of our church.
