FCC Children's Ministries
Welcome to Summer at FCC! We have lots in store for fun together and can't wait to see ALL OF YOU! Our events are open to the community, so feel free to pop in with no obligations, and bring some friends to join in the fun! As always, please wear a mask for the protection of the unvaccinated, and plan to use the restroom ahead of time.
Ages 3yrs through 5th grade*
*(Under 5 must be accompanied by an adult)
In response to parents preference of a date which didn’t compete with the Wednesday Night Farmers Market, we are shifting from WooHOO! Wednesdays to HooRAY! Thursdays!
Join us for a fun evening of games on the lawn! We’ll have something for everyone, including relays, challenges, noodle tag, and giant jenga!
We are inviting all children’s and youth families to give back together! We will be putting 50 S.T.E.M. kits to benefit the children participating in the Jones Memorial summer Science Camp, which is being sponsored by FCC’s Board of Faith In Action. We’ll enjoy lunch together, as well as a science experiment ourselves!
The Jones Center is also in need of sports equipment, so we will be collecting new or gently used sports equipment in addition to the items needed for the S.T.E.M. kits. The list of items will be provided soon, or you can contact Travis at email@example.com or Leslie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participants: children ages 3yrs-5th grade
Volunteers: Junior High+
Cost: $15/child, $10/second child, $5/additional children
We hope to offer this 4-evening VBS exploring compassion and sharing loving kindness - with ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and with the world. In order to make this happen, we NEED volunteers! We’d love to make this a multi-generational effort and have help from junior high and high school students and adults who find themselves with the energy and time to give this gift to our youngest and their parents. Please contact Leslie at to lend a hand!

Children’s Ministries Vision
We have a passion to see children follow Jesus every day. Our Children’s Ministries are rooted in the concept that learning to follow Jesus must engage the imagination and hearts of children. FCC offers children creative learning environments, age appropriate teaching methods, worship that engages and inspires, and opportunities to confidently serve others.
Children’s Ministries at FCC uses modern curriculum that reflects current Progressive Christianity and our vision to seek, connect and serve. Our primary source for curriculum is Sparkhouse (www.wearesparkhouse.org).
Our preschoolers through 3rd graders use the Spark: Activate Faith Rotation Curriculum, which uses age-appropriate lessons in unique ways to dive deep into the stories of our faith. This Fall we focus on the Old Testament lessons on Joseph and his brothers, Joseph and Pharoah, Ruth, and Daniel in the Lions Den. We will examine New Testament stories in the second half of the year.
4th & 5th Graders use “Connect” Curriculum. Connect Engages tweens in God’s big story with quirky videos, hands-on activities, and Bible exploration. This class will be discovering stories in the Old Testament this fall.
If helping our children learn about and embrace the stories of our faith sounds like something you would like to assist with, we are always looking for volunteers to help in our classes. Please contact Leslie Maxie at email@example.com for more information.
