BECOMING A MEMBER

Membership at Flossmoor Community Church is a uniquely personal experience. Our Beliefs, Mission and Vision Statements best describe Flossmoor Community Church — a community of faith, celebrating diversity with members from a wide variety of religious backgrounds.

Through membership, worship attendance and participation, you will enhance the richness of your own spiritual journey. You will gain the strength that comes when you know you are not alone and the courage to continue your journey of faith in the world. Your efforts for the common good will multiply by joining hands and hearts with others. Membership enriches your life as you receive God’s love and give of yourself in response.

We encourage a spirit of hospitality and belonging at FCC, therefore we welcome those who feel called to join our church family through the following process:

Newcomer's Coffee

Held periodically throughout the year, our Newcomer's Coffee is an informal gathering after worship that provides opportunity to meet our Pastor and church members, and learn about the ministries of our active congregation.  All are welcome!

Membership Class

Membership Class is the next step after Newcomer's Coffee, for those interested in pursuing membership. The class is designed to give an introduction to Flossmoor Community Church and the many opportunities for worship, education, fellowship, care, and outreach. Child care is available upon request.  New Members usually join the church the Sunday following the Membership Information Session.

Our next Membership Class will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10 - 11:30 am, and our new members will join on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.

For more information, or to register for the Membership Class, please contact Betsy Hanzelin, Director of Congregational Enrichment at (708) 798-2800, ext. 18 or email.

Baptism

Those who seek to be baptized may make arrangements with the pastors. Please call the church office (708) 798-2800 for more information.
